Monkey Wrench
Studying an object through photography or sketching, then simplifying it. An extensively minimal approach was followed purely suggestive of the necessary details and materials.
Repetitive sketches were made refining and reducing the details with each iteration. Aspects of the image (light/shadow, volume, material, visual weight, personality) that helps us perceive the object as it is were consciously made note of and attended to.
The simplified image were put through a poster making exercise to experiment and fully realise its potential.
